Terms of Service

Last updated: 2 June 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of BookReef (“BookReef”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.

The service

BookReef lets authors and publishers create a public page with books, smart Amazon links, dynamic QR codes, lightweight bonus downloads and basic analytics.

Your account

You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

Acceptable use

  • Do not post unlawful, infringing, deceptive or harmful content.
  • Do not use BookReef to send spam or to collect emails without a lawful basis and clear notice.
  • Comply with the terms of any third-party platform you link to, including Amazon.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer or abuse the service.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you upload. You grant BookReef a limited licence to host, process and display that content solely to operate the service (for example, resizing and serving your book covers and avatar, and rendering your public page).

Reader emails you collect

If you enable email capture on a bonus, you are the controller of the email addresses readers submit and are responsible for handling them lawfully, including providing any required notices and honouring opt-outs. BookReef processes those emails on your behalf.

Marketing tools and tracking you enable

BookReef lets you connect optional third-party marketing and measurement tools to your public page — for example an Amazon Attribution tag, or a Meta or TikTok advertising pixel. If you enable them you are responsible for: using only an identifier or tag issued to your ownaccount by that provider; complying with that provider’s terms and policies; and providing any privacy or cookie notices, and obtaining any consents, that your use requires on your public page. An Amazon Attribution link carries a measurement parameter to Amazon and sets no BookReef cookie; an advertising pixel you enable loads third-party code on your public page. BookReef passes these through on your behalf and is not responsible for how the third-party provider processes the resulting data, or for results in markets the provider does not measure.

Availability and disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that links and redirects will always be available.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BookReef will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill arising from your use of the service.

Termination

You may stop using BookReef at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that create risk for the service or others.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
